We pledge to support local businesses with an ambition to source 80% of construction materials and services for our pioneering bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) project right here in the UK.

This includes construction materials needed as part of the deployment of the project including steel, pipes, insulation and the support services which are essential to such a large project. This ambition forms part of our vision for BECCS which will protect and create over 10,000 green jobs, decarbonise one of the UK’s most carbon intensive regions, and develop green skills for Yorkshire and the Humber.
