Local homebuilder raises over £34k for Leeds based children’s cancer charity
5 star homebuilder, Barratt Developments Yorkshire West is continuing to show its support to Leeds based children’s cancer charity, Candlelighters after raising over £34,000.
The local homebuilder has supported Candlelighters for 5 years and have raised money directly through a range of activities which include donate a day activities and and sponsored marathons.
Candlelighters is a non-profit charity which supports children and their families who are affected by childhood cancer in Yorkshire. The charity funds crucial research in childhood cancers and supports families in a variety of different ways including offering holidays, providing home from home accommodation, and providing support and wellbeing services.
This year the team from Barratt Developments Yorkshire West are completing even more activities to show it’s support for Candlelighters, including the Ale Trail, a boat race and the redecoration of Waverley House, which provides home from home accommodation for families with a child being treated for cancer at Leeds Children’s Hospital.
